Prof. Dr. Nazlı Ece Güngör graduated from the Department of Biology at Istanbul University Faculty of Science in 2007. She began her master’s studies in 2010 in the Department of Histology and Embryology at Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine and completed her PhD in the same field in 2016. During her doctoral studies, she conducted research at Rockefeller University with a TÜBİTAK pre-doctoral fellowship. Between 2016 and 2020, she served as an Assistant Professor at Biruni University and was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2020. She currently continues her academic career as a faculty member in the Department of Histology and Embryology at Biruni University Faculty of Medicine. Dr. Güngör has published 35 articles in SCI and SCI-Expanded journals, authored four book chapters in a national textbook, and has a total of 53 national and international conference presentations. She has taken leading roles in a significant portion of her publications as the first or corresponding author. She has worked as a principal investigator and researcher in numerous TÜBİTAK and BAP-supported projects and has received seven scientific awards from various institutions between 2009 and 2024. In 2024, she was honored with the TÜBA-GEBİP Award. With her expertise in Histology and Embryology, international research experience, and strong academic productivity, Dr. Güngör continues to contribute to the scientific community.
