Visit from Turkish Young Academy to the Young Scientists Network of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mürsel Doğrul, President of the Turkish Young Academy, paid a courtesy visit to the Young Scientists Network (YSN) of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM).
The visit began with a warm welcome at the ASM Academy. Dr. Doğrul was invited to the academic activities exhibition, and discussions were held regarding potential collaboration opportunities between the Turkish Young Academy and the Young Scientists Network of Malaysia.
The meeting commenced with opening remarks by Ms. Dharshene Rajayah, Head of the International Relations and Communications Division of ASM. This was followed by a general presentation on ASM’s activities and initiatives. Participants included Prof. Dr. Mai Chun Wai, Chair of the Young Scientists Network of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia, Board Member Prof. Anwar P. P. Abdul Majeed, and members of the academy staff.
President Doğrul presented two important TÜBA publications, 'Science Diplomacy for Global Challenges' and 'The Istanbul Museum of the History of Science and Technology in Islam', to ASM CEO Mr. Hazami Habib, together with the greetings of TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker.
This visit represents an important step toward strengthening science diplomacy and academic ties between Türkiye and Malaysia, reflecting the shared commitment of both countries to advancing science and innovation. Strengthening international cooperation among young academic networks was one of the primary objectives of the visit.
