Turkish Young Academy Holds Cooperation Meeting with the Austrian Young Academy

A TÜBA delegation, led by Prof. Dr. İsmail Koyuncu, Member of the TÜBA Council, participated in the 2026 Ceremonial Session of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) held in Vienna on 8 May 2026. The delegation also included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mürsel Doğrul, Chair of the Turkish Young Academy.

Prior to the ceremonial session, the Turkish Young Academy and the Austrian Young Academy (Junge Akademie der ÖAW) held a meeting to discuss opportunities for future cooperation. The discussions focused on joint scientific events, researcher exchange programmes, international project development, and collaboration in the field of science diplomacy.

During the meeting, the book "Science Diplomacy", published by TÜBA, was presented to Prof. Dr. Anne Sophie Meincke, Chair of the Austrian Young Academy.

As part of the 2026 Ceremonial Session of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, the "Science Diplomacy" book was also presented to Prof. Dr. Heinz Faßmann, President of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, while the English edition of the Atlas of the Turkic States was presented to Alexander Van der Bellen, President of the Republic of Austria.
